I'm not sure if you can call UK 0800 numbers.
Aren't they only for people calling from within the UK itself?
To make calls to other UK numbers you need an active membership plan and cash credit on your account to pay for the international calls.
Have you tried dialling +44 800 ... to see if that works when you have an active membership plan and cash credit to pay for international calls in case that works?
I suspect that it won't though.
If it does though then it almost certainly won't be free.
Often organisations offer an alternative number to their 0800 number for international callers.
Maybe that's the case here?
