Changed payment card now auto-renewal won't work

My account won’t let me buy a plan I changed my payment card and it won’t let me automatically buy a payment every month and my plan has expired

What happens when you try to buy a membership plan with your new card? 

Any error messages? 

If auto-renewal previously failed because your old card was no longer valid then, after configuring your new card details, you'll need to buy your next plan manually before auto-renewal will take over using the new card from next month.

In that situation auto-renewal won't buy a new membership automatically until you kick start the process by buying your first plan manually.
