Are you sure that your incoming calls aren't been redirected to another number or voicemail or something?
What happens when you try to call your number? Engaged? Nothing? Redirection?
Regarding incoming SMS messages - check in case you have a lot of messages stored on the phone already and if so delete some of them and see if it makes a difference.
