Text not sending

I bought an add on to text northern Ireland from the south but it still won't let me send texts could you please tell me why this is

There is no add-on for texting internationally when in Ireland. You must've bought an EU roaming add-on which is no use unless you are roaming in the EU. You need cash credit on your account to pay for international texts. 25c each.
