Server not connecting

I'm currently in Austria, and my iPhone 5 hasn't been able to connect to a server all day.. I've got roaming and my membership.. But it just keeps 'searching' for a network.. Is there a reason for this?

Yes it's a common problem with iPhones when roaming abroad. See here

It's not specific to 48. Eg tesco also mention it on their support pages:

Yes sorry late reply.. I got an email off 48 and managed to sort it! Thanks anyway though!

What was the problem and solution?
It might help others in the same situation.

I just had to go into settings.. Then into 'phone' follows by 'sim application' then 'when abroad' and then 'automatic' and it connected me to a network!
