Can I buy a different membership and use it now or would I have to wait for my current membership to run out ?

You can buy any membership any time but if your current membership is still active then the new one will stack and only kick in when the current one (and any other stacked ones if applicable) has run its full monthly course and expires normally. If you use up membership allowances before the membership is up then you might need to buy add-ons to tide you over to the end of the membership month.
