I lost signal . I put my sim into another phone and still no signal .

Did you enable data roaming? 

What networks do you see when you do a manual search for networks? 

What make and model of phone is the new one? 

If it's an iPhone then it may need activation which will require some cash credit on your account to pay for the UK SMS that Apple (in their wisdom) require this process to send.
