I wonder if the Nokia Network Setup App might help at all?
Maybe also delete all APNs and then start configuration of the Internet and MMS APNs from scratch in case that helps?

The second refers to the first but has additional info.
I realise that they refer to Tesco but since they're another virtual operator on the O2/Three network the info may still be relevant (if you obviously substitute the 48 settings for the Tesco equivalents).

Was the phone used on another network before?
Just that some of the links mention this causing a problem if you move to another network and maybe necessitating a factory reset and reconfiguration of the settings...
