Some operators seem to restrict conference calling to specific contracts - e.g. business contracts - or provide their own special facilities for conference calling separate from any handset options for merging calls - e.g. I found this for O2 (on whose network 48 largely operates so this may be relevant):

http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/connect/O2/Home/Business/Business+Solutions/Voice+services/Group+conf...

If it didn't work for you then I presume that 48 does not support it but best to log a support query to get the definitive answer from 48 support:

http://help.48months.ie/requests/new

Hope this helps.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.

I have exactly the same problem. In my profession I totally rely on conference calls. I have recently switched to 48 and even though I did everything that was required in order to be able to merge calls, I still cannot do it. I can have several calls at the same time but on separate lines so I can switch between them. Unfortunately, I cannot merge them and if the situation cannot be resolved I will have no other option but to change the provider.

Here is what I have already done.
On my iPhone 6s I have set up the following:
Cellular Data
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
User: user
Password: [blank]

LTE configuration
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
User: user
Password: [blank]

MMS
APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
User: user
Password: [blank]
MMSC: http://mmc1/servlets/mms
Proxy MMS: 10.1.11.19
MMS maximum size: [blank]

URL of UA profile for MMS: [blank]

Personal Hotspot

APN: 48months.liffeytelecom.com
User: user
Password: [blank]

What else can be done? The MERGE button is active but pressing it does not do anything.

You realise that you're replying to a 7 year old thread?

Anyway I don't believe that anything has changed in that time and am pretty sure that 48 (still) don't support such a feature.

But as mentioned in my previous reply you should contact 48 support to clarify for sure.

Hope this helps.
