You just let it lapse.
Cancel auto membership renewal of you have it enabled.
Transfer your number to another carrier if you want.
That's it.

If you want to leave 48 then you just move to another mobile provider.
You can optionally port your 48 number over to them if you want.
Just follow the new provider's instructions for porting a number in to them.
The only thing that you might want to do at the 48 end is to disable membership plan auto-renewal if it's enabled - just to guard against any new membership being purchased unnecessarily during the transition period.
I would also delete any registered card details if applicable just to be sure.
