If you don't have the option to save the card details then you'll need to contact 48 support and ask them why.

Actually, you do press the "Pay Now" button and it proceeds through a "payment" of €0, your bank's/card's verification process, and then saves the card details.
Nothing gets charged during this process.
I just tried this myself by deleting my registered card and adding it afresh.
