My iPhone 14 is no longer detecting my physical 48 SIM after I returned from using a travel eSIM. The phone only shows the travel eSIM and no physical SIM is detected, even after removing and reinserting the SIM and restarting the phone.

Try this - the section titled "Returned Home?":

If that doesn't work then I wonder if you might have to go through the stupid Apple iPhone activation process again or something? 

That's where the iPhone silently sends an SMS to a UK activation server and this fails silently if you don't have cash credit to pay for the international text message (and an active membership plan)?
