Hi there. Can we use our remaining credit when our membership expires? I have a few quid left on my credit and want to know if I can use that up before I buy a new membership.

No - you need membership for any services to work.

Even services normally charged from your credit balance (e.g. MMS, international calls etc.) won't work unless you have an active membership.

Help I have 4 euro credit and want to top up landline mins

Should be no problem.

A landline calls add-on costs €3 for 60 landline minutes.

You're replying to an almost ten year old thread about a different issue which is a bit odd...

What does your Transactions page say about recent payments/purchases? 

What does your My48 account Dashboard say about your current membership plan status, allowance balances and expiry date? 

Does your Buy Plan page list any upcoming membership plans?
