I’ve had a sim delivered for my daughter to go with her new phone for Christmas. The sim was delivered last week but I would like to leave her to activate on Christmas morning. Is there a time limit on a sim? Does it need to be activated immediately or will it be fine if left inactivated for another couple of weeks?

There's no time limit.
Activating it for Xmas will be fine.
Make sure that the new phone is unlocked for use on any network so that she can use the 48 SIM.
