Why doesn't your husband just use the SIM that you received and didn't use?
That would seem like the simplest solution.
What exactly do you mean "cancel my original request to join 48"?
If you ordered and received a SIM but didn't do anything with it - e.g. activate or use it - then there's nothing to cancel.
If that doesn't suit then your husband should probably just get a free email address (e.g. Gmail or Outlook com/Hotmail etc.) just for the purpose and then register and request a new free SIM for himself.
