Hi,
I hope you're doing well.
I have a question: I'm trying to move my number from Tesco, but I can't find my account number. I've contacted their customer service (3 times), and they provided me with 2 IDs: one is my contract ID, which is like "CONTR01xxxxxx" and the other one is my customer number, like "1.1yyyyyyy".
I have tried several times to move my number, but as 48 form only allows numbers, I can't find what is expected...
I tried to keep only the digits of my contract ID (01xxxxxx), removing the leading 0 of it (1xxxxxx), the customer number without the . (11yyyyyy) and the customer number without the initial 1. (1yyyyyy), it was always rejected.
Anyone would know what is expected?
Thanks

I have contacted support who could complete the procedure for me.
For the record, the number to use is "1.1yyyyy" which is on the Tesco Bills. I never could fill the form with this customer id as it contains a ".", but the support managed to do it.

Are you following the instructions here?
Are you sure that you need to enter an account number?
That's only if you're on billpay with your old provider.
Are you sure that you're on billpay with Tesco and not prepay?
If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

Absolutely, I've followed the instructions on this page. I can complete the procedure, but I systematically get a text saying "Your port to 48 has been rejected by your current provider due to an incorrect account number. Please contact them ... ... ",
(Unfortunately?) I'm on Billpay, not prepay.
Do you have an idea of what the account number should look like? The form on 48.ie allows up to 15 char, but none of the numbers I have from Tesco are that long, so I'm wondering if I should look for another one?

That's odd/frustrating alright but glad you managed to get it sorted via 48 support.
