Flexibility around word-of-mouth referral

Hi, 

I was super excited to join 48 on a word-of-mouth referral from a friend (and coming from an expensive plan elsewhere). By the time I had signed-up and registered my SIM I hadn't seen any place to notify 48 that my friend had referred me.

I contacted customer service thereafter who were not able to add the referral retrospectively. 

I'm aware of the policy of referral links but I would really like to hear of companies who consider the real-world user experience of their service and are flexible to individual circumstances and loyal customers/referees.

I don't really understand - if you're looking for information about other companies then I don't think that the 48 Community Forum is the best place to ask about this. 

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post or something.

If you have a specific question in relation to 48 maybe you can clarify what it is? 

I don't really understand what you mean by "word of mouth" referral? 

The only referral offer that I'm aware of 48 operating is the Recruit & Reward programme.
