Bought additional roaming data which was used up immediately

When on holidays in Spain I used up my 17g roaming limit which lasted about eight days. I purchased an additional 1g for €3 which saw the limit rise to 18g and was consumed within one minute. I did this an additional two times which just saw my limit rise to 20g and get consumed immediately. Can’t understand this as I didn’t do anything after purchasing.

You'd need to have checked your phone's app data usage monitor to see what apps used up the data at that time...
