Roaming not working - no SIM application since iOS 18?

I have used roaming before but since I’ve updated to iOS 18, the “sim application” is not an option in settings anymore and I can’t get the roaming to work. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Unfortunately many people still seem to have problems when trying to use roaming services for some reason and nobody from 48 has ever explained why or provided a guaranteed fix.

As such, the usual generic advice for roaming issues applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then maybe get a replacement in case it helps with roaming issues:

‘SIM Applications’ should still be there, it is still there for me on iOS 18. Maybe try a Network Reset - Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

You will need to input the APN settings again once you reset. Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Network > Mobile Data APN - 48months.liffeytelecom.com and Personal Hotspot APN - 48months.liffeytelecom.com
