The “mobile data” is absolutely shocking here. Phone defaults to LTE but it’s so so poor

What exactly do you mean by "absolutely shocking"?

What sort of download/upload/ping speeds are you getting with a speed test?

Are you APN settings configured correctly?

What make and model of phone do you have? 

Is it 5G capable? 

5G should be better than 4G generally but 4G should be done for many users too.
