I topped up today and my calls or 3G won't work only my texts, what do I do?

What exactly do you mean "topped up"?

Cash credit balance, add-ons, membership?

What does your My 48 page say about your current membership status, expiry date and allowance balances?

Does it list a "next membership" and start date?

What does your My History page say about your payment/purchase/topup?

Remember that if you have used up your current membership allowances then buying a new membership will not help until that membership expires and the new membership can start.

If that's not immediately then you need add-ons rather than a new membership to tide you over to the end of the current membership.
