Hi Annette

First, check you have data roaming active.

Next, check your APN is intact... a few people lost theirs and needed to add them again.

See listing below:

Give these a go, and see if this gets you in operation again.

These are all phone based problems and not 48 problems, I am 99.9% sure. You have a complex device that you probably don't fully understand technically but the easy target is 48 because they had an outage - not that I sympathise with them! You need to tackle your phone issues first - google your model - do a battery pull, or a hard reset if it's an iPhone - So a SIM pull too - Reset the wireless settings - take it to a repair facility.

Yes - the first post in this thread!

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support then please click here - if the Chat Now option does not appear on that page then keep trying until it does.

I would guess they could be power outage problems due to recent bad weather.  Hence why they are not widespread.

Just to add...

Multiple 48'ers have posted the day following the Network outage with APN settings wiped & a few had their contact lists wiped also.

Too many for coincidence...

The Network Outage undoubtedly had affected these folks.

However - since the Outage, the weather has been atrocious, & now we are (like all other Networks) subject to Signal issues - this stems from fault's with the process in the transmitting of said signal, (i.e Mast trouble)

48 uses 02's Signal/Network, & if there is temporary Signal issues (on a local basis) - more often than not, an 02 Area Mast is literally at fault.

So really! theres more than one reason to account for these pains!

P.s I had no signal up North-West of the country here at 0700 hrs this morning...

:-)
