I'm in Edinburgh. My data is working but calls and texts won't go through. What's the story?

Are you on wifi?
That would explain why data is working but calls and texts are not.
Or are you sure that data is working while out and about and not on wifi?
Are you on a Guido membership?
EU roaming only works on Guido.
What make and model of phone are you using?
