Transfer old number but it's no longer active

LokiM1049

I want to transport my number to a new provider (48) but cannot receive the security SMS because the SIM is inactive or my phone is no longer attached to my old number. I have visibility of my new account with my new number, but I can’t receive sms messages on my old number. I hope that’s enough information, thanks in advance for your help.

There's nothing that 48 can do about this.

You'll have to contact your old provider to see if they can help.

See here:

Keep your current SIM Inserted in your handset as we need to send a security code via SMS to start your number transfer.

If your current SIM isn’t active and your unable to receive SMS to the number you want to keep, you’ll need to contact your old provider regarding your account. Your current number and SIM need to be active to move to 48.

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat or email (support@48months.zendesk.com).
