Not receiving confirmation text from Bank or PayPal

I have just joined 48Mobile and moved my vodafone number to my account.

When I login to my bank or PayPal they send a code to my mobile number but I never receive the message.

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

An update.

My old phone was a Samsung and was using a samsung message app.

My new phone is also a Samsung. When I started using the message app it suggested an upgrade. That seems to have changed it to google message app.

I changed back to Samsung message and tried to use my Bank Of Ireland app. This time I got a message stating that there was a problem with my phone and to ring a help number. I did so and was given the code over the phone and that seems to have fixed the problem. I was told to wait 4 hours before I login to account again.

Hopefully it will be back to normal then.

I will work on the PayPal issue later. The only other I need to check out is the MyGovID account.

That's odd.

I've always received such texts without any problem.

Specifically PayPal, PTSB banking, and many other services.

Do you receive other "regular" text messages ok?

You shouldn't have to do anything special to receive two factor authentication security text messages from the likes of PayPal, bank, etc.

You might need to contact 48 support to ask them about this.

See the links in my signature below.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat or email (support@48months.zendesk.com).

Thanks for your help.

I will make further enquiries.

Just to repeat...

> Do you receive other "regular" text messages ok?

Also, do you receive any two factor authentication security text messages from anyone other than PayPal or your bank?

I’ve spent a week trying to sort this. After 4 calls to AIB they say it’s 48 and 48 says it’s not them. I’ve trouble shooting with AiB and still no messages. 48 is a joke I keep getting disconnected from their helpline and have to start the conversation all over again. I only saw part of the last message before it disappeared and it said to change my sim

Might be better to deal with 48 support using email?

The chat feature has never worked reliably or at all for me for years.

I've reported it to 48 but nothing has changed to make it more reliable.

Many other people also report that the chat never appears at all for them.
