How to set up roaming ahead of UK trip soon?

hi,going to uk at the weekend,how do i set up roaming before i go,thanks

It should just work but unfortunately some people still seem to have problems with roaming connectivity while others have no problems so it's very difficult to predict how it will go for you. 

The usual advice applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then get a replacement in case that helps:
