Cannot send a text

Cannot receive a text message I’m trying over a month now and no results maybe I should try a different provider

Your post is confusing. 

The title says "Cannot send a text" but the body says "cannot receive a text message".

Which is it? 

If the problem is with sending texts what happens when you try and it fails? 

Any error messages?

Can you send/receive any texts? 

Is it a specific number that you can't send a text to or receive a text from? 

When was everything working ok last? 

Anything useful here?
