APN isn't 48, it's Tesco. Is this normal?

I've just signed up to 48 on an Android phone. Once I installed the sim everything pretty much did itself. However, the APN is reading as Tesco Mobile and not 48. What's this about?

Some phones misidentify APNs for virtual networks such as 48, Tesco, Lycamobile etc.

If your mobile data is working ok then just ignore it as it's innocuous.

Make sure that your APN settings are configured correctly by texting "APN" to 50048 and following the instructions here:

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.
