If your current membership hasn't expired then the new membership has stacked and will kick in when it does.
Check your online account and it should clarify your current membership type and expiry date and - if applicable - your next (Don) membership and start date.
Buying a new membership doesn't prematurely end a current one that still has time left to run of its monthly course.
Also if you haven't used the internet before then you will probably need to configure your internet/APN settings. See here:
