Are you sure that you never activated the SIM card?
If you didn't then you wouldn't have been charged anything.
If you have been charged by 48 then you must have activated the card and entered your payment card details via your My48 account.
Did you enable the membership plan auto-renewal option when you signed up?
Is it enabled on your account now?
If you're not using the SIM and it's enabled right now then you'll probably want to switch it off?
What does your Transactions page say about the recent payments?
