I have 25.99 credit in my account. Whenever I attempt to purchase a plan or premium credit, for example, I'm asked for my card details, ignoring the credit (which is greater than what I want to purchase, so it's not a question of not having enough credit.

What do you mean by "premium credit"?
If you have more cash credit on your account than the cost of whatever you're trying to buy then you should be offered the option to pay using your cash credit rather than by card.
E.g. if you have €25.99 cash credit on your account and want to buy a €12.99 membership plan then you should be able to pay using your cash credit.
If you're not getting that option the maybe try the app instead of the website - or vice versa - in case that makes any difference.
Otherwise you'll probably have to contact 48 support for assistance with this.
