I'm in France for a week. Texting was working once I got the APN set up. Early last evening messages stopped going through, though I can receive them. And yes, I do have a membership with loads of data available. I tried changing networks, but no luck. Can't find any customer service channels to ask about this. Help?

Try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and see if the SMSC is configured properly. You may be to press Refresh on the SMSC field to see what it is. If it's not +353894300000",145 then try setting it to that. Enter that and hit Update.
Note that data has nothing to do with SMS text messaging.
