Hello Friends
I’m a uk resident
my mams Irish I’m half
Now that my Mammy is getting old I need to keep a phone for when I’m over here

I’m wondering at all what sim is best option
If I’m away for a few months
I there a sim after the 12.9@ euro
I can just like top up when over here or is it a case of if you do not use it
Like some comps In uk
they claim your number and any credit etc

Any advice genuinely appreciated x

Your post is a bit confusing.

What do you mean by "I there a sim after the 12.9@ euro",  "is it a case of if you do not use it" and "like some comps in uk"?

If you use a 48 SIM then as long as you buy a membership plan at least once every 6 months then things will keep working. 

Outgoing services (making calls, sending texts, using mobile data) will only work when you have an active membership plan. 

You can receive calls and texts without an active membership plan.

If you don't buy a membership plan for 6 months then your account/SIM will become suspended. 

If you don't buy one for several more months then your account will be deleted and your number recycled.
