Sim outside Ireland

When I go to Europe I normally go by ferry to France. Because maritime calls/roaming is so expensive I turn data, calls and roaming off. As soon as I do this I get an alert that my sim card has been changed and I must restart the mobile. This keeps happening and its very annoying as I have a dual sim phone. Can anyone help?

I don't understand.

There are no "maritime" calls with 48.

And it doesn't cost anything extra to roam in Europe on 48.

(Mind you, it's not working for many people lately in any case!).

So why do you disable things on (presumably) the 48 SIM?

What is the exact message that you get?

What is the make and model of phone?

Sounds to me like it could be a feature of the phone itself rather than anything to do with 48 per se?

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.
