New SIM not working

Received and inserted new SIM. Number ported over according to online account. Phone says No SIM.

Did you successfully activate the SIM?

Is your phone unlocked for use on any network?

Are you sure that you have inserted the SIM correctly?

What make and model of phone is it?

is the message literally "No SIM" or does it contain anything else?
