I activated my sim a few days ago and still no network?

What happens on the phone when you have the activated 48 SIM installed? 

Any error messages? 

If you do a manual search for networks can you see and connect to 48? 

If not then what happens? Any error messages?

Is your phone unlocked for use on any network?
