Why can’t I use data when on a phone call

Whenever I make a call I loose all data. Using an iPhone 16. All settings are correct including Voice over LTE active etc. it has never worked. On 48 for well over a year.

48 still doesn't support VoLTE for 4G or VoNR for 5G so when you're on a call the mobile data falls back to 3G or even 2G and is often practically unusable for modern web browsing or connected apps.

There's nothing that you can do about this until they support those services.
