Very slow data

Hi, I've got a new 5g 48 SIM.
According to the comreg coverage map I'm right in the middle of a "Very good coverage" area for 48 on both 4g and 5g.
With the SIM in my phone I get about 60mb/second on 5g, slightly slower on 4g which strikes me as pretty slow (despite 4/5 bars of mobile signal - at the point in my house with the strongest signal).
Meanwhile with the same SIM in a 5g gateway/router I get 1-3 mb/second on 5g (upload speed about double that, weirdly), about 25mb/second on 4g!
I've checked the network and apn settings which appear correct.
Previously I was getting 5g at about 110mb/second on Vodafone (with upload about 20-30mb/s; slower speed with that SIM in my phone), giving me confidence the router works and that it's a 48 / router issue.

I'm wondering if the router is being throttled by the network, but I have used barely any data so far (have used about 5gb since connecting earlier this week).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going on or how I might improve this?

I don't get why the speed is so very much slower through the router than through my phone (when the router was faster on Vodafone).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

There have been anecdotal reports of bandwidth/speed throttling when a 48 SIM is used in a 4G/5G router, but nothing definite/official as far as I know.

You'll probably have to ask 48 support about this but I suspect that you'll struggle to get a clear answer to be honest.

To contact 48 support see the links in my signature below.

For what it's worth, on 5G about 3km from O'Connell Street, Dublin, indoors, I'm only getting 15/6 Mbps down/up using Ookla Speedtest.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat or email (support@48months.zendesk.com).
