Roaming in Italy - unable to access mobile data

I am currently abroad In Italy. I have iPhone 13 and I have data roaming, mobile data on, it says LTE, I have sim application set to international. I am not picking up any signal to access the internet unless I am connected to Wi-Fi. I maintain this is a company issue as all details on my iPhone are on. Does any one have any suggestion or advice on how to get this working please? I can’t get though to an agent with 48.ie thanks in advance.

Do you have a connection to a local network?

Do calls and texts work ok?

What are your APN settings?

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I am quite elderly, have just recently joined 48 and a currently roaming in Italy through WINDTRE on an Android. I have been able to make and receive calls to other Italian phones. However, I do not seem to have data, like updates to RTE.ie. Is there a way around this as I don't like piggybacking friend's Wi-Fi. Can you help me? I have changed my Access Point Names to Name 48 Internet APN 48 months liffeytelecom.com

Was mobile data working OK back in Ireland?

What are all of your APN settings - not just the ones that you posted?

Do they match the ones here?

Unfortunately many people still seem to have problems when trying to use roaming services for some reason and nobody from 48 has ever explained why or provided a guaranteed fix.

As such, the usual generic advice for roaming issues applies...

If your SIM predates January 2023 then maybe get a replacement in case it helps with roaming issues:

It may be worthwhile reviewing these two threads in case any of the suggestions help to avoid roaming problems:

If you still have problems then you'll probably need to contact 48 support for further assistance.

After several trips to France and Italy where I had great difficulty getting my 48 sim to work, I went to Italy start of October expecting the usual problems. I was relieved to find everything worked at arrival at the airport no issues, so thank you 48 😊. I have a 5g capable android phone with 2 Sims, 1 old and 1 new, both on 4g and both worked.
