No signal with 4g

Hi,

 

I'm in Macroom, Cork. For the last few weeks I cannot get any signal on 4g. It connects but speeds are less than 0.5 download and 6 upload.

 

I have an external antenna which has been perfect for years.

 

Tried sim in another router, same problem, tried using antenna that came with router, same problem.

 

Tried to connect to 3g, get 3 bars of signal, but speeds are the same as 4g above++

 

Router set up;

mobile data - on

data roaming - on

nat - on 

network mode - 4g preferred

Band - auto

network search - auto 

pdp type - ipv4

apn type - static

apn 48months.liffeytelecom.com

auth type - none

This doesn't make sense.

If you can't get any 4G signal then how are you getting any throughput at all?

 

Have you contacted 48 support to ask them about this?

Yes I know, router says signal strength is 0% and no bars on router.

Are you saying that for years you were getting better speeds using the router with the 48 SIM but that the connectivity/speed only degraded recently in the last few weeks?
