No 5G on Google Pixel 9 Pro XL

If someone looking for that information, to yes Pixel 9 still has the same issue as others - No 5G.

I've upgraded from Pixel 5, that had the same issue - no 5G.

Contacted a while ago customers service, they told that engineers are working on that ... So seems to me still working.

Logged ticket to 48.ie, contacted Google as well (Pixel has an option in menu to do so).

If everybody who has Pixels here will do the same, might be it will help to push this through...

Another observation.

Austria - A1 mobile operator, again 5G is available.

In settings it shows proximus_be as carrier again.

Hi, I am a Pixel 6 user and I am not getting 5G connectivity on my phone as well. I reported this issue to customer support on 01/12/2024. The agent acknowledged the problem but could not provide me with a timeline for when it would be resolved.

It's not going to be resolved until Google issue an update that stops blocking 48/Liffey Telecom for 5G access.

Sure, I am aware of that. I raised it also with Google. Their advice was to move to another service provider... And 48 advised me that I can use another device which is whitelisted for 5G. From the answers I got I assume that neither Google nor 48 are going to do anything about it.

48 can't do much about it.

It needs Google to stop blocking access to 5G on 48/Liffey Telecom.

Looks like the wait is over.

I see 5G now after December update 🙂
