When I try to use my phone as a mobile hotspot or Bluetooth

In that case it's the key/password that you specified to secure the hotspot when you configured it on your phone.

For example, if I go to the hotspot configuring settings on my Android phone I see this and the highlighted part is the security key to which you are referring.
