Dual Sim Phone problems with Android

I have 2 sims on a Huawei P20 Pro. ( 1 x 48 and 1 Giffgaff from UK )  Whenever I send a txt, the phone defaults to the UK sim and charges me for every txt.  I cannot force the phone to use the 48 sim  for txts ??????  Any suggestion gratefully receiv...
