sending text to UK number

Suddenly texts to an UK number won't go or arrive after a week or two. Have credit on my account. Can receive ok from same UK number, what's it all about? Never had a problem before.

Hi, I'm just arrived in Croatia and it's says I have no service, while I was told I would have data and calls and texts available to me? Is this just a reception issue or is there something wrong with connecting to the network?Thanks
