Did it ever work on 48?

Have you contacted MyGovId to ask them about this? 

Can you use MyGovId with an authenticator app instead of SMS multi-factor authentication?

Mine works that way for services such as MyWelfare.

I use Symantec VIP Access to generate a code that I enter so that I don't have to get the code by text.
