Hi, I’m just wondering about getting a phone from America. I’m looking at an iPhone 13 but it has no SIM card. How does that work over here?

Do you mean no SIM card or no SIM tray/slot?

The US versions of recent iPhones don't have a physical SIM tray and only use eSIMs.

*iPhone 14 models or later purchased in the United States can only be activated with an eSIM. iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max models that don’t have a physical SIM tray can only be activated with an eSIM. In Hong Kong and Macao, certain iPhone models feature Dual SIM with two nano-SIM cards.

However, according to that Apple link the US iPhone 13 should have a physical SIM tray so you might want to double check. If it can take a physical SIM then you can use it on 48. If it only takes an eSIM then you can't.

48 still don't provide eSIMs so you won't be able to use a US iPhone that's eSIM only on 48 until such time as they do provide them.
