Sim pin

Every time I turn my phone off and back on it asks me to type the pin to the sim because my sim is supposedly locked

That's because SIMs are configured with SIM PIN locking enabled by default.

You can switch this off by going into your security settings.

You seem to be using an iPhone in which case this should do it:
