Hi Rosemary, have you had working internet before or are you just starting up with 48? Active membership is needed for internet to work, and if you've been using it already then check that you haven't run out of internet allowance in your membership.
Also try turn your phone off and then on again to see if it reconnects.
In case it is settings-related, there are two ways you can try input them: the automated service or manual set-up. Did you try both? See this useful post for instructions on that.
