Lost SIM travelling abroad

RachelM3760

Hi I am travelling in Asia at present. I have lost my 48 SIM card, which I need to top up my periodically. Am using country specific sims at present. My question is if I get another 48 sim posted to me abroad, can I activate it while in another country? Thanks Rachel

You can't get a replacement SIM posted abroad.

They only post them to Irish addresses.

If you get somebody in Ireland to forward your replacement SIM on to you then I think that you should be able to activate it while abroad.

But you might want to double check this with 48 support to be sure.

But can't you continue to renew your membership online as needed even if the SIM has been lost?

It's not like the SIM itself is going to work in Asia anyway.

Or did you block the lost SIM and that's preventing you from doing that?

If you need to contact 48 support about this then see the links in my signature below.

I am not a 48 employee - if you need to contact 48 support you can do so by chat, email (support@48months.zendesk.com) or phone.
