Clarification on SIM activation and recharge charges

I activated my SIM in the last week of June or the first week of July and also completed a recharge at that time. Since then, I have not renewed it. Now, when I try to top up for one month, I am being asked to pay the activation charge again. Could you please clarify why this is happening?

Sounds like some sort of mistake. 

The activation fee is a one-time change so shouldn't be levied more than once.

If you are being asked to pay it again then there's a problem at the 48 end.

You'll need to contact 48 support to get them to investigate and fix this. 

They don't tend to monitor or respond to posts here on the Community Forum so you'll have to contact them directly.
